Three months ago, my daughter and I went to Boomers (in Irvine, CA) and got head injury there. We played Go-kart. While our car was completely stopped at the finish line waiting to get off, the Go-kart behind us hit us hard, pushing our car at least 4 feet away. Both my daughter and I suffered head injuries, especially my daughter. Her head was bumped against the two pieces of cushions of the seat. We filled out accident reports and were carried by the ambulance to the ER for checking, the doctor told us that we suffered minor head injury. We were released a few hours later.
We left Boomers in a hurry and did not have the chance to ask the information for the driver who hit us. Boomers employees gave us the contact information for claim, and promised that they'll take the other driver's information.
Later, I contacted Boomers many times, asking them to compensate my expense for the ambulance and medical treatment (a total of $250, after insurance coverage), and to release the accident reports I filled out. Both requests they plainly rejected. In September, I made another request through a registered mail with copies of my bills. They ignored again.
I think Boomers is liable for our injury for lack of safety measures to enforce drivers to slow up at the finish line. In addition, their attitude to my requests is totally unacceptable. What should I do in this case?
