护照需要有六个月以上的有效期。
签证就不同了，只要在有签证效期内就可以入境。入境后的停留时间也不受签证有效期的限定。停留时间是由入境时海关所给的I-94所决定的。 大多情况下，B2旅游签证入境时会给六个月的停留期。

如果需要延期，应该提前向移民局递交I-539。可以请外州的律师。也需要上网打印出自己的入境卡I-94。
